To add cash gifts to a Greenvelope invitation, create a Greatest Gift registry and link it through Greenvelope's Receiving Gifts settings.

For a baby shower, that gives loved ones a way to help with both the baby's arrival and the years ahead. Alongside the tiny outfits and bedtime books, a gift could help start their college savings or first investments.

Here's how to add the link, what to say on your invitation, and how to give those gifts an extra boost.

How to Add Your Greatest Gift Registry to Greenvelope

Start by creating a free Greatest Gift registry. Choose the goals you'd like loved ones to help with, such as college savings or first investments. Then copy your registry's shareable link.

Using Greenvelope's gift registry settings:

1. Open your invitation and select Details.

2. Open Information, then Receiving Gifts.

3. Turn on Gift Registry.

4. Select + Add Registry.

5. Choose Add Your Own to enter your registry manually.

6. Enter a name, such as “A Gift for Our Baby's Future,” and paste your Greatest Gift registry URL.

Use the manual option rather than searching for Greatest Gift among Greenvelope's registry providers.

Before sending, preview your invitation and check that the link opens the right Greatest Gift page.

When guests follow the link, they can choose a gift amount and leave a personal message on Greatest Gift. You'll continue managing the invitation and RSVPs on Greenvelope.

If you're hosting for the parents-to-be, ask them to create the Greatest Gift registry and send you the link to add.

What to Say on Your Baby Shower Invitation

A few friendly words about what you're saving toward can help guests understand the cash gift option. For more examples, see how to ask for money as baby shower gifts. Keep it personal and let them choose how much to give.

For a baby shower:

We can't wait to celebrate our little one with you! Alongside the baby essentials, we've included a Greatest Gift registry to help start their future savings. If you'd like to contribute, we'd love for you to be part of that beginning.

For a baby sprinkle, you might say:

We're lucky to have many of the baby essentials already. If you'd like to give a gift, you can help us start saving for our little one's future through Greatest Gift. Thank you for helping us welcome them with so much love!

Help Build Their Future From the Very Beginning

A baby shower brings together people who are already excited about your child's future. Greatest Gift gives them a way to be part of it.

Grandma's gift could help start a college fund. A friend's contribution could go toward your baby's first investments. Together, those first gifts can give you something to build on as your child grows.

Your registry lets you share those goals with the people who care about your family. They can see what you're working toward and send a gift with a message your child may one day love to read.

With GG+, matching and monthly gifts can help you build on that support.

Make Baby Shower Gifts Go Further With Matching

Imagine Grandma offers to match gifts dollar for dollar toward the baby's future. A friend gives $50, and Grandma adds another $50. That's $100 to put toward your baby's goals.

A parent, grandparent, or another loved one can set up a match up to their chosen limit. Matching applies while the offer is active and matching funds remain.

Once you've set it up, you can mention it in your invitation:

Our family is matching gifts toward our baby's future to make an even bigger impact while the matching offer is available.

Turn a Shower Gift Into a Family Tradition

Some loved ones may want to keep helping as your baby grows. With GG+ monthly gifts, they can set up regular contributions through the same registry.

A grandparent giving $25 a month would contribute $300 over a year. That could be the start of a tradition: a little something each month toward the opportunities you hope to give your child.

A Celebration That Helps Them Get Started

There are so many firsts to look forward to. Your baby shower can include one more: the first gifts toward a bright financial future, from people who can't wait to be part of it.

Create your free Greatest Gift registry and add it to your Greenvelope invitation.
